The Boulder County Audubon Society and City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks will be leading a bird-watching “Roll and Stroll” field trip for people who use walkers, strollers, wheelchairs, canes, or just legs on Saturday, May 3, at the Sawhill Ponds Wildlife Preserve, East of the Boulder city limits on the west side of 75th Street, 0.6 mile north of Valmont Road.
There are trails that wind along the ponds, with opportunities for wildlife observation, picnicking, and photography. We will begin birdwatching at the trailhead adjacent to the parking lot at 8:00, and return at 10:00. (Arrive by 7:45). Bring hats, sunscreen, water, an assistant if necessary, and binoculars if you have them, though some will be available to share.
This field trip is OPEN TO EVERYONE and is FREE. Come enjoy a Boulder wildlife preserve with new friends and the wonderful birds that live here or may be migrating through our county. For more info call Mary Balzer at 303-499-0662 or Topher Downham at 303-818-0284.
