PEER SUPPORT

Center for People With Disabilities peer groups designed and organized by people with disabilities.

It’s a great place to hangout and share
Group activities may include:

  • • Discussion groups: a topic of discussion may be chosen to focus the group.

  • • Social/activity groups: members may decide to participate in an activity such as taking nature walks together, playing a board game or just plain talking about experiences.
    • Learning groups: invite speakers from the community to present topics such as sports opportunities for people with disabilities and other community services.
    • Advocacy groups: members may decide to organize around important issues confronting people with disabilities. Solutions to concerns may be discussed and action taken.
    • Combination of the groups: type of group activities based upon the decision of the members of the group.

Boulder Peer Group
